World Chess Championship Match (November 2018)

The World Chess Championship Match 2018 will be taking place between Fabiano Caruana, the first American to challenge for the Championship since Bobby Fischer, and Magnus Carlsen, the undisputed best player in history.

The Match is the most eagerly awaited chess contest for a generation. The 12-game match, organized by FIDE and World Chess, will be played in London between 9 and 28 November 2018 with a prize fund of over EUR 1mln.

The Match takes place every two years. The previous Match was held in New York City and became of the most memorable sporting events of the year with a reach of over 3.5 billion people.
