Description
In 2017 I switched from swimming to rowing and followed my ancestors' path into the boat and became more successful than I could ever have imagined as a swimmer. Together with my father as a coach, we were able to win the overall world cup in the men's single sculls, the blue ribbon event of rowing, in my first international season in 2018. After only 18 months into rowing we made the impossible happening by winning the 2019 World rowing championships, an achievement nobody has done in such a short period into the sport.
After the upset in Tokyo 2021 where i came as the favorite for gold and ended up winning the B-final, my sights are on the Olympics in Paris 2024 to fulfill my dream of winning Olympic glory.
