Description
An exciting opportunity to sponsor a jockey, with regular national coverage on television I think this could offer great exposure for any company. As well as the social media aspect of it too. I cover 60 thousand miles a year in my car, company branding on the side would see your company reach destinations up and down the country.
A bit about myself; my name is Charlie Hammond, I’m 25 and I’m born and bred in Worcestershire. Last year I had 260 rides, 39 winners, and was in the top 6 in the country for someone under 26, I had 2 Cheltenham winners, including live on ITV. I was voted by my peers as a top 4 up and coming jockey With many live interviews, your brand would clearly be seen on my collar and on my legs. I have also been lucky enough to ride over the Grand National fences, something many people only dream of let alone achieving it this early in my career, and hopefully this can only help me progress. I have also become only the third conditional to ride in The Champion Hurdle at Cheltenham festival. I have also won the Grand Sefton for my boss, Dr Newland, which is run over the grand National fences. I’m currently sitting in the top 10 jockeys for the current season.
A bit about the sport
There were over 100 days of racing broadcast terrestrially on ITV in 2019, including premier meetings such as The Cheltenham Festival and The Grand National Meeting at Aintree.
Annual racecourse attendance in 2019 set to be recorded at over six million
The Big race exposure I have had
In 2018-2019 season, I rode on the biggest days of the year at some of the biggest tracks; these included:
The Cheltenham Festival (rides on three days of the festival, including the favourite in the Pertemps Hurdle Final)
The Grand National meeting, another massive day when I rode a horse with a live chance, providing him with another fantastic opportunity and had a winner on the Friday too on Rowland Ward
The Swinton Hurdle at Haydock Park, an historic race that opens the new season.
The Summer Plate, biggest jumps race of the summer, when I rode the favourite for this race, a lot of focus on the horse and I, great exposure for any company
The Greatwood Hurdle (Cheltenham, November meeting), I rode a short-priced horse in this race, following on from the partnership winning their previous two outings, including one at the October Cheltenham meeting
The Tommy Whittle, a big race round Haydock, I rode a horse called Enqarde who went on to win.
